As you probably know (or not) there are countries where Apple sell unlocked iPhones without contract. I just managed to get my iPhone from Australia. Price is steep but not as much as eBay prices. Australian store was selling them for about $700 USD while eBay prices were $1500 at the beginning
![]() They are still around $1000 ...which is a lot if you compare to jailbreaking and other methods, but I really need to say that I enjoy updating my iPhone without fear that I will lock it

Wow, that's still too expensive. I'd rather wait and buy it much cheaper. It's just the matter of time.

The unlock iPhone is expensive. You should find a better iPhone contract to save some money.
