Which do you guys think is better?
Apple seems to think that the ipad will take out netbooks. there are some videos at this ipad forum site that makes the ipad look pretty dang slick and user friendly, but it cant multitask whatsoever. So i'd think a lot of poeple that are used to netbooks would not be able to get used to that fact. I'm also thinking about getting it when it launches but apple is know to drop prices a few months after their products come out.. |

I just generally don't like Apple products. I don't like their way of doing things... I don't know, I can't explain it exactly, but I've never enjoyed using any of their products, and I know there are many other people that feel the same way. So, I don't there will ever be a clear "winner" in the Mac vs. PC war, and I don't think I would want there to be one. The two sides are constantly pushing the envelope and forcing the other to catch up, which means more innovation for the end user, regardless of which option they choose.

It depends what you want to use it for. If it's only about having the access to the internet, then I'd say IPad is better. But Laptops come with better specification, they are more powerful.

Hi I am new here!
Aesthetically, iPad is the winner. Sleek, thin and mobile. The downside of it (well at least for this generation) is that it is very limited. No flash support, smaller storage, no webcam and the list goes on. Netbooks are still far better that the iPad if we are talking about efficiency. I think they're not comparable (not apple to apple)
. iPad doesn't have and can't do what netbook could do. iPad doesn't have USP port, CD ROM (though they think that CD will not be a trend in the future, but we still need it now, right?). I do like Apple's products, but I think iPad doesn't have a clear segmentation in the market.

I agree, maribell7. It is a very important point of view, because each of them has it's own good point. Maybe I am too traditional but I prefer laptops. It is used all around the world so you will find everywhere the accessory you need. iPad is quite at the beginning, but I'm not saying it's not cool enough!

I have seen and used the iPad myself. It's just amazing! I would recommend this to someone who wants to be online all the time. It's very portable and lightweight. But still, it's not a replacement for netbooks or laptops.
